I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Washington, DC) in Mar 2017
Interview
I spoke with them at my school's career fair. They asked me a couple of questions then set me up for an interview. The interview first asked me basic questions about me and then asked about experiences in particular situations.

Question 1
Why Target?
Tell us about a time you had to solve a problem in a way that was not obvious at first?
Tell us about a customer service experience? How did you help them? What was the outcome?
Tell us about a time you proactively completed a task without being asked?
Short, quick, personable and exciting so you can't gauge how they feel. That said, very easy and fast process, does not require much preparation, just make sure you can pitch yourself well.
There was a total of three rounds. First was phone screening with recruiter, second was with a manager and third was with a panel of mangers at the distribution center.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2025
Interview
The initial step was a phone screening, where I learned a lot more about the company and position. I didn't proceed to the next round but the people I spoke with were very friendly.
