      Executive Team Leader Interview

      28 Jun 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Baltimore, MD
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Target (Baltimore, MD) in Jun 2012

      Interview

So first off ALL interview questions are on this site that you will need! So I will focus on info that is not already on this site. 1) Don't expect interviewer to have read your resume, be prepared to explain who you are and what you're looking for. (The DTL I interviewed with had no idea who I was) 2)Talk alot about development and feedback, they want ppl who want to stay and develop with the company and who aren't afraid to give/receive feed back! 3) Bring your PERSONALITY to the interview, don't be BORING, they want fun people. 4) Interview other target team members before being interviewed, they like to know you've done your h.w on the company (Example, I told the DTL I spoke with some team members and they thought BLANK of Target, [try to keep it positive though]). 5) Be Flexible, retail is hectic so waiting past your appointment time can happen. Finally DON'T FREAK OUT about the assessment test, I'm horrible at math and still got an offer! I got a 16 on my A.C.T if that tells you anything. So I think the personality part is weighted more. With that Said I had a TOTAL of 5 interviews because I was interviewing for another state than my hometown. Applied through Target.com and was contacted a week later, had 2 phone interviews, 2 in person interviews with the DTL and STL back to back then a final phone interview with HR which took about 30mins. The final interview is a bit more relaxed, I was only asked 2 questions and she mainly wanted to know more about me and why I wanted to be an ETL. The next day I got the offer 50k.

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
