I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Newark, NJ) in Apr 2019
Interview
There were 2 initial phone screens and 1 interview with the District manager. I have read all over the job boards about how Target does not hire experience, they hire youth and style. I can validate that this is indeed true. I have run very large and well known retailers with a vast amount of experience in all aspects of retail. I also interview very well. It is clear that Target saw my 40+ face walk in the door and it was over before it began. Shame on target for this type of practice. There is a reason you read this same comment everywhere about targets hiring process.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Kansas City, MO)
Interview
Lengthy-- in my time at Target I was put through more interviews than I can count--had to interview for pay grade increases (within same position) twice and some times as many as 9 interviews for next level promotions. Internally, however, they do a lot of interview prep with candidates, which is great!
