      Executive Team Leader Interview

      28 Dec 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Dec 2010

      Interview

I applied in early November and did not hear back for a week. I was first called by a recruiter and asked about my interest in Target. A phone interview was scheduled a week later. During the phone interview, I was asked about my work experience and personal questions. I was then asked to take a skill assessment online. I completed the skills assessment and was called back two days later to schedule and interview. I was then called by another recruiter to schedule the interview. My interview was changed three times due to scheduling difficulties with the STL. I interviewed with a STL and the interview went very well I was asked several Behavioral questions. I was then called the next day and told to interview the next day with a DTL and HR partner. I interview there and was again asked behavioral questions. I was called within two hours and informed I had made it to the next step. Another interview was schedule with STL for the store was interviewing. That interview was scheduled within a week. I interviewed there with a mixture of behavioral and personal questions. At this point, I felt very confident the STL even went over what she wanted me to do if hired. I was told there was only one more interview. I was called then informed I would have to job shadow. I completed that over the weekend and had my final interview with the District VP and District HR Manager. I believe at this point, that I had done something wrong. My interview was ten minutes and only two questions were asked, usually they will ask 5+ questions. I was told I would receive a call with a week as Christmas was only three days away. However, on Christmas Eve they opened up the position on Taleo. I felt horrible my Christmas was ruined. All weekend I knew I did not receive the job to only receive the email this morning.

      Interview

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
