      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (New York, NY) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Beginning of the application process was pretty normal. Applied online and took a strengths assessment. Automatically receive feedback on that. Waited a few days or so and got an email about an online video assessment. Different employees have pre-recorded questions which you then answer in a vid-chat setting.. about 30 minutes from what I remember. Waited a little over a month and received an email about the in-person interview. It was an all-day interview (roughly 8AM - 3PM) in their NYC office, with some group and individual aspects. Primarily, you're in the group and this is where you let yourself shine. It's like you're being watched all day, but you never really feel uncomfortable as you get a feel for the people in the room. You also have the chance to mingle with them during lunch and that's nice. It's been nearly two months and I haven't heard back about anything. Don't know if I should keep waiting or assume I didn't get it? I loved the interview itself... it's different and a great experience. However, the long process and lack of responsiveness when I emailed my contact about an update (still haven't heard back) are definite cons.

Great process getting to meet multiple people in the org. Final round allowed you to meet multiple people in the org as well as other candidates. Got to see office as well.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (New York, NY) in Feb 2016

      Interview

The best and most holistic interview process that I have ever been a part of. First step of the process is an online strengths assessment where you indicate how you would respond in different situations. Second step is a video interview with many behavioral questions. Third step is an all day interview where you will be with several other candidates. Group activities, where you are observed, and individual interviews take place, as well as a lunch with current employees. Overall, the day is intense, but a lot of fun if you relax and be yourself. The process emphasizes strengths and personality and provides you with many opportunities to show why you are a good fit for the company. One negative is that the process is very long--I began the process early in the Fall semester and it was not complete until the beginning of Spring semester, nearly 5 months later.
