      Senior User Experience Producer Interview

      8 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (New York, NY)

      Interview

Probably one of the longest and drawn out interview process I've ever been a part of. Initial recruiter call and then 4 video interviews with various TR teams. Each call asked almost the same exact questions which I found weird. As if these teams don't talk to each other or share info. They were also very strict on which office you could work out of, despite having a ton of locations. Once they had an offer to present, they called and emailed me 7 times within an hour and a half period to get me to pick up. I was working so I wasn't able to talk right away but I found this to be super stressful and unnecessary. Once I picked up, they lowballed me and the offer was $15k less than what the first recruiter told me. I declined and they started blowing up my phone again trying to get a number out of me. It was clear that they were desperate to fill these positions or they couldn't understand why someone wouldn't want to work for their company. I was really excited about this position but this experience really soured it for me. I went to the website and manually removed my application in attempt to stop all of the calls, texts and LinkedIn messages. I have accepted another offer and will most likely not consider TR for future employment. Good luck out there.
