I applied online. I interviewed at VMware (Reston, VA) in Mar 2021
Interview
It was smooth and designed for the skill set and skill level of the job announcement. I found it to be challenging and completely doable. I would recommend that you look into the core values of the company and have a mission for what you hope to accomplish.

Describe a situation in your life where you made a critical mistake. What was the mistake, what actions did you take, and what was the resolution.
Fairly straight forward job interview. Required some background investigation and follow up interviews. Did a paired coding session and review of python. This job was security related, so the main objective of the interview was discussing this.

How would you solve this problem with a specific technique.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at VMware (Bengaluru) in Mar 2021
Interview
The process started in the month of March and I went through 3 technical rounds that went really well.
The fourth round was scheduled during late IST hours(early US hours) where I was about to talk to someone from the US team.
I joined the call and no one showed up for almost 15 minutes, after which I reached out to HR (based in India) who asked me to wait for another 10 minutes. However, even after waiting for 10 minutes, no one showed up. I reached out to HR again asking to reschedule as the interviewer might be busy.
After a couple of days, HR got back to me and scheduled the interview, and this time I choose early IST hours(late US hours) so that the interviewer might be free during his late hours. Just before joining the meeting, I got an email from HR stating "we need to cancel the interview".
From here on, the process was pathetic, the HR never got back to me. I had to constantly follow up with no go. Thanks to the HR who stopped answering the phone calls. At last, I mentioned in the follow-up email that "this would be my last email for a follow up" for which I got a reply from HR stating that HR will get back to me next week and till today no one has reached out to me.
The whole point is if the interview process didn't go well, at least have the courtesy to let the interviewee know about it so that he/she won't rely on the process anymore.
