Pros

Work environment depends entirely on team and manager. In other teams, people had work life balance

Cons

However, in my team, it was a hellish work environment. My boss used to berate and abuse her "chosen" subordinates publicly. Every 6 months she would single out an "underperforming " subordinate who would take the fall for her incompetence. She would explicitly order us to work on weekends, and we resisted she would shout personal insults to us. I didn't get any recognition despite working many weekends and outside office hours on the explicit command of my manager. I thought that this is a one off case of a poor manager in a good company. However, I have seen her shielded by her bosses, and that has made me lose faith in the company. I wish the person who had referred me been honest about my old boss and the company values. I would have done anything other than join this company. I had to undergo a classic case of workplace harassment and bullying. I considered filing a court case but in the end I didn't because I didn't have the resources to fight a case for years. Also, in general, it is a sycophantic culture.

Pros

- Complimentary lunch and starbucks everyday - On-site clinic for basic check ups - Hybrid

Cons

you will be taking phone calls every minute of the day. There will come a time where you feel like at the bottom of the world. You will ask yourself "is my role in life to help people reset their password online and assist them in logging in?" You cannot use the bathroom whenever you want, they have time coding that if you "abuse" them you will be flagged and subject to discipline. You have to give world class service but at the same time rush them off the phone or else you are not getting paid a good bonus. You will quickly find yourself gasping for air and time to relax when you take 50+ calls a day , you will feel drained. When is finally time to move up there is a high chance you will be paid less than you're current role as there are no bonuses in higher roles.
