Pros
* Open culture and open ambience - transparent cabins unlike Indian MNC's * Flexible work life balance * Good senior management people; and they ‘mostly’ tend to pick up good people to elevate but not necessarily they are right always * Recently slightly more open to consider employees for transfer between locations (hot destination - Mumbai to Pune) * Good working infrastructure * Current satisfaction level in the company is 50% which was probably 85% at one time
Cons
* Technically, you are stuck once you are in Capgemini * Poor HR/recruitment process. Recruit very low quality resources. 5 yrs of experience with 3 Lakh of package. Will such employees of any use?? Candidates say they are not skilled in a particular skill but HR person would end up ticking that 'Yes' box. Strange, isn't it?? * Not particularly keen in accessing employee performance. They start goal-setting for annual performance review in mid-May and complete mid-year performance review process by end of June. So effectively performance is checked just for 2 months coz before that there were no agreed goals. For annual review, they again start in Mid-September and wind up by October end with multiple deadline extensions. * Managers not well trained; and there no plans in place either * Salary not at par with other companys' * Gradual decline in Quality, HR, etc related long term initiatives * In Capgemini, each vertical is a separate company; hard to switch between. * Employees have started taking advantage of people flexi-time. People should atleast be working for 8 hours * Less of Global MNC and more of Indian MNC now. Same issues which you may find other place
