Pros
1. Career growth: The most valuable thing was obtaining a lot experience delivering advisory services for large, prestigious companies. This enabled me to learn a lot and grow as a professional, and I have been a very competitive applicant for good jobs at good companies now that I've left the firm. So if career growth is important to you, I felt my time at KPMG supported that. 2. Culture: Seemed pretty good overall - the staff and management level were very supportive of each other in my experience. I didn't see a lot of "cut throat" behavior that I've heard rumors about at other Big 4. Partners weren't always the best, but were never really mean or rude. 3. Work life balance: We worked fairly hard and long hours, I would say normal week was 55-65 hours with some weeks surging passed 80 - it's consulting afterall and we had to deliver for our clients. But it never got to the point where I felt totally run down or exploited, like some of the nightmare stories you might hear from investment banking, for example. Leadership was pretty supportive about you taking PTO as long as it was scheduled in advance. When on PTO, I got calls every now and then, but people tried their best not to disturb you, which I appreciated.
Cons
As part of my severance package, I agreed not to say anything bad about the firm. Thus, I am not going to provide specific negatives and will let my ratings speak for themselves.
