Pros

The people I work with are helpful and friendly. I like all of them. Learn some financial terms and about mutual funds Improve Excel and typing skills. Easy to get hired, regardless of your background.

Cons

I made more money babysitting than doing fund accounting at State Street. The low pay motivates me to take it easy and not work too hard, as I don't want to be taken advantage of by overworking and stressing out for $32k. I have 2 other jobs to supplement my fund accounting job so I can live. Most of my coworkers still live with their parents and have pt jobs too.

Pros

Own book runner and strategy. Good work life balance. Good working environment and nice people to work together

Cons

No much growth. Promotion to VP or higher is even forbidden based on company policy. Instead, ask people to move to different role. It doesn't make a lot of sense since it encourage people to find a new job.
