Pros
Teksystem recruiters don't recruit and forget you. Over the last 6 years, my recruiter has been in constant contact with me, taking me out to lunch to catch up on how things are going with my assignment. Towards the end of this contract, they arer proactively working with me to find a replacement opportunity.
Cons
1. Healthcare insurance offered did not meet my needs, so I had to get it outside. However this resulted in using taxable income to pay for premiums as opposed to pretax if I got the Teksystems provider. Would have been better if Teksystems accepted health insurance providers nominated by employees. 2. There are numerous county holidays which are unpaid. It would have been better if the salary rate was adjusted in order to provide paid holidays. 3. Given the longer term nature of my contract, it would have been better if a 401K with an employer share arrangement was provided.
