Pros
If you produce you can essentially do whatever you want. There is a lot of flexibility. It is a great starter job out of college. You start of making 20/hr and 30/hr OT with a average of 50-55 hours/wk. After you get your weekly spread up to 3k weekly (about 4 placements) you get a 70k salary.
Cons
There are some very big cons of working here. First, upper management. The DBO is "out of pocket" at least two days a week on average if not more. They are very unprofessional as well. If you are a good looking girl you get attention or if you suck up to the DBO. In our morning meeting "Redzone" our DBO once brought up cocaine and a mirror. I don't care what context that is not a professional workplace. It is all about who you know and how good of friends you are rather than performance. Second, here at TEK we like to promote ourselves as the top recruting agency. In the past year I have witnessed over 14 people leave out of average 30-35 recruiters. This is not new people leaving within the first 6 months, it is people who have been here over a year. There is a real reason for this..... Management. Once you start producing the pay isn't what you expect. If you do the math you get 14% of what you bring in. Recruiters only make commission on anything you average on a weekly basis over 8000. and when you average 8000 - 15000/wk you only make 5%. So if I made the company on average $10,000 for all 52 weeks of the year I would of made them $520,000. You only make 75,200 total off of that with commission (100/wk (5% of 2000)). With these calculations keep in mind the amount of recruiters over 10,000 in weekly spread is less than 8 recruiters in our office. Also, lastly they upped the milestones you need to reach in order to get a bonus.
