Pros
TEK prides itself on customer relationship building and customer intimacy. They taught us to be very high touch, very engaged and involved with our contractors & clients and to develop & train the next generation of TEK folks. It's a very collaborative, high energy, hard working group of people. The training cannot be compared to any other staffing agency. TEK devotes a lot of time & money in their recruiters & sales people. If you ever are thinking of entering the staffing world, TEK is a great place to get started. With the fast paced work place, the model to always address your issues & gripes immediately, and the recruiter & sales model... you develop very close relationships with your co workers soon after.
Cons
CONS: They do not invest enough in their senior level producers, not the ones that are bestfriends with the "right people" but the ones that are really producing & making the office money & building the best relationships out there. TEK needs to stop hiring just to meet numbers. Quality has got to be put as a priority - not quantity. There is not a good work/life balance. They work you hard, but that's what has built TEK's repuation within the staffing industry. Many TEK folks now have their own families. Having a family or having extra curriculum activities to tend to right after work is not as supported. The lack of community service & involvement. This company makes a lot of money - and so do those that work there. Very little effort is made from HR to promote these things.
