Pros

Large company with best-in-class processes, especially in supply chain. The level of sophistication in Supply Chain Strategy projects is among the most advanced in the industry, so it is a great place to learn and put your talent into practice by developing far-reaching solutions.

Cons

Work environment at Supply Chain Strategies (SCS) team is extremely bad, even toxic. Leadership Team looks for its own benefit and has created a big divide between Business Partners and Project Leads and Analysts. Rather than genuinely engaging the broader team, there is a sense of "I am right, you are wrong" environment. Some of the so called leaders in the team seriously lack people skills, recurring to toxic attitudes like: blaming publicly their own team members, finger-pointing, directed yelling during meetings, emotional responses to feedback given, giving the cold shoulder (ignoring calls and messages), turning around team's concerns/feedback into blaming, just to name a few. Despite knowing well these issues and having the offenders identified, HR and top management fails to act to improve the alarming situation of the team. Personal well-being and psychological safety within this team is extremely poor, therefore should be avoided.

Pros

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Cons

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.

Pros

It is a large company with a record of 3 years without a recordable injury. Occasionally feeds the employees

Cons

The biggest issue with this plant and it invades every aspect of the company is a complete lack of ability to properly communicate information. The applies internal to departments, across departments and up and down. They have the technology to do it, just not the organization. Company could probably use much more Engineering organization.
