Pros

-Brand Name of Company -You get to work under pressure and learn to cope with it -Get to work on Advanced analytics projects but trust me they will ask you to build them in 1 week :D

Cons

Well how would I start. From the top senior management to the manager, culture is totally corrupt & selfish. 2 parameters: 1. Culture: There's no culture to be honest. This team was setup with own personal agenda of 3,4 people for their personal growth. They expanded team by getting themselves promoted within a duration 6-8 months while in whole Landmark people get promoted from 1 design. to other in min. span of 2 years. They made their analyst slog for 14+ hours a day to achieve their personal objectives and take full credit. We are asked to slog and even work on Sunday's just because its a working day in Dubai. We are made to work 6 days in a week. No company culture exists except the fact that if your working for 13+ hours you are regarded as a "FIGHTER". Thats what they call you :D 2. Work/Analytics : Have you ever created a Demand forecasting model in 1 week for 500Mn Dollar client? Have you? Well when you join you are given this target. Create a full fledged solution in 1week and work your life off. They boast about their advanced analytics but in the end you get to work on SAS :D while the whole world is moving to R. No one cares about the fact if your model is statistically correct. All what matters is are you a "FIGHTER". Did you sit in office after 10pm? This team is taking the company for a toss. Managerial experience lacks analytical experience and everyone plans to leave this team in next 1 year. Team credibility is down infront of other Business and no1 wants to take up projects with Analytics team. They recruit by luring people that you will get to work in Dubai based on your performance in Bangalore team. Thats what they lured me into. BEWARE this is a SCAM. If you end up in Dubai your life will no longer be yours but it will be their. You are paid in Dirhams and the outputs they will get out of you will be DOLLARS. Before joining please make sure that you have thought through about this place. For personal and both professional growth this is not a good place to be. This team is driven more by Organisation politics and to top it off by their own favouritism of internal employees who are SUPER LOYAL to the managers. PS: Managers also share their personal lives on WhatsApp group. That means they don't have one to be honest.

Pros

1. You will get 15% employee discount and occasionally 40% discount at lifestyle 2 twice a year 2. Company name and brand value is recognised as they have 46 yrs history 3. Liberal leave policies where employees can take off upto 3 days with prior intimation and requires approval only for more than 3 days. 4. One can gain indepth business knowledge about retail business, merchandising etc 5. Improves your resistance to work under pressure, which is a double edged sword.

Cons

1. Senior management / managers / BRMs are less interested with the wellbeing of their employees. 2. Policies are changed with no proper/prior intimation. they are changed to favours the management and not the employees. HRs are also part of this, which raises trust issues with the company. 3. Senior management self promote themselves every 6 months. Favouritism in promotion and hike. 4. Long term employees salaries are less compared to the new joiners with lesser grade. 5. Whole analytics ecosystem was initially built on SAS, senior management realised their mistake very late and have decided to move open source, at the cost of long term employees who are forced to work on the SAS just to make sure the business runs. 6. Future projects mentioned in open forum are always extended or delayed due to improver planning and over committing to the business 7. High attrition due to above reason led to understaffed, which increases the work load by 100% for each employee working in Solution delivery team. Work life balance goes for a toss. 8. No proper time and skill development opportunities are provided to employees working in Solution delivery (client facing) team due to above mentioned reasons. Indirectly restricting them to learn new technologies so the the business runs. Its a TRAP!!! 9. Got bad feedback from the hiring candidates as HRs will never meet your expectations with the designation or the salary. You will either be joining on a designation less/equal to ur previous role and also for a salary less that the market. This leads candidates to use the offer as leverage to gain better opportunities. 10. Seeing many new joiners leaving with in 12 months

Pros

Nothing actually that one could remember

Cons

Immature and dumb people leading the vertical who are clueless where to take the company. They don't have any prior people management experience but are put into leadership position here so can't expect any mentoring and guidance which will ever help you in your career. Culture prevailing can be gauged form the fact that avg attrition is at around 8-9 months and people here boast this as achievement and nobody cares about this. No learning, out dated technologies, pathetic management, clueless HR.
