Pros

The hours and benefits are okay.

Cons

This company is just the pits! After having been nominated for employee of the month several times, I was completely perplexed as to why other employees, who were less than stellar in their performance, were suddenly promoted in their positions. It seems to me that upper management here pre-selects these promotions from the get-go based on some kind of favoritism or connection. Hence, there’s virtually no room for advancement for regular folks who work hard and have a desire to succeed. One of these employees who was promoted to a managerial position would still approach my department to constantly ask questions about the job, almost clueless as to his duties and responsibilities.

Pros

free lunch, steady hours ... not much else

Cons

I would not recommend working for this company on any level. Everything was unorganized and the building where I worked was falling apart. It took forever for things to get fixed and there was too much drama for one work place. Managers let things slide for fear of losing employees and they never hired enough people. The human resources department is not employee-focused at all --- do not expect any kind of fair treatment from them. I was spoken to in a condescending way a lot during my time here. They will make themselves seem as if they have this all around tight-knit family but that is far from the truth. It's more like high school. Lots of favoritism and brown-nosing is shown. The constant passive-aggressive and two-faced/phony behavior among the employees and management is downright ridiculous. Health benefits are pitiful. I have worked for a couple of different hotel management companies and this is by far the worst.

Pros

For those who are young, fresh out of school & without a family such as kids & spouses, this is the best environment to learn from. LHM has a "sink or swim" mentality. You receive very little to zero training & you are thrown in with the fast paced demands of your new role immediately. You have little support from upper management, you will work long hours, nights & weekends & will receive little praise. All of this may sound negative, however, it gives you tough skin & makes you work harder than anyone else in the industry & really, you will find that you work harder than other professionals..period. You'll learn a lot about yourself & if you are able to keep up, there is a lot of room for advancement & promotions.

Cons

Little to zero support from upper management, everyone is too busy to invest in you, so you must be able to figure your job out & the expectations of your role on your own & you better do it fast or you will be without a job. Little to zero transparency of the position you are interviewing for upon interviewing. HIGH stress. Long hours. Weekends & holidays. Little work / life balance. They have the "Enterprise" mentality. Use you up, burn you up, spit you out.

Good day and thank you so much for the feedback. Please know that this is absolutely not the experience we want any of our associates to ever feel. We try very hard to cultivate a great culture where our team can thrive from the very beginning, and we are so sorry that you did not feel this. Again, we appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
