The biggest zero to one in cultivated meat is developing animal cells that can grow in single cell suspension, allowing them to be produced at large-scale and low cost in bioreactors (sometimes called cultivators). While others have achieved this with chicken and fish cells, no-one has achieved this for beef—until now! With this milestone, we'll be able to produce cultivated beef at scale 1000x cheaper than with wild type beef cells. Read more below!
