The Target Udaan program provides skill development to the differently abled, and helps them become self-sufficient while entering the workforce and not just at Target. At the recent Working Mother and Avtar Best of the Best Conference 2021, Target in India was named a Champion of Inclusion. While accepting the honor, Bruce Starnes, SVP & President, Target in India, acknowledged the role of all Target team members in championing a more inclusive society -- by creating an inclusive guest experience, an inclusive work environment and ensuring a diverse workforce. Bruce spoke about using Target’s influence to effect a positive change, and make Target in India one of the best places for women to work and one of the most inclusive workplaces in the country. Bruce was also part of an insightful panel discussion on the topic - Driving DEI with a Courageous Intent: What leaders must do! He spoke about how leaders can effect cultural transformation by addressing the fears of their teams, instilling confidence and coming through with the right solutions.
