      Project Manager Interview

      5 Apr 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Singapore
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Adobe (Singapore) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I was interviewing for the position of Project Manager role within Adobe Experience Cloud product vertical in the Adobe Customer Solutions (Professional Services Consulting line of business) and it was for Singapore location. So it started off with a call from the APAC Talent partner seeking a time slot to go through the official process. Had gone through 5 rounds in total before I obtained the offer letter and below were the different stages I had been put through. -> 1st round - was a telephonic call with the APAC Talent Partner (HR) to further understand details about my experience, my expectations & the role in detail. Expectations on the future remuneration as well as my current remuneration were asked as part of this round. Within a day or two, I was informed that they would like to proceed forwards to the next round & gave some time-slots that would fit both our schedule's. The talent partner ensured that I was well prepared by explaining the expectations or what could I foresee in the next round. -> 2nd round - was a face to face catch-up with the Hiring Manager and was a very candid session, explaining about the role, the business and the Hiring Manager took time to understand my experience & went into different details / scenario based questions from my experience. Also, was being explained about the culture at Adobe & went for an hour. The talent partner ensured that I was well prepared by explaining the expectations or what could I foresee in the next round. -> 3rd round - was a face to face catch-up with my Peer (Senior PM) and this was the round where I was further drilled into my experience as a Project Manager / scenarios that were all based on Project Management, that had gone on for hour. Was given with some simulation based exercises as well during this catch-up. The talent partner ensured that I was well prepared by explaining the expectations or what could I foresee in this round. Was sent a few materials about the different departments as well, to use this for preparation. 4th round -> had to be done virtually over video conference as I was travelling for leisure & it was with the extended Adobe family, with the Heads of Sales in APAC and the Head of Customer Success. This round was more of to identify the cultural fit & the ability of the candidate to work with varied set of internal teams within Adobe. Was more to understand about why the move now & where I saw myself in a few year's time as well as scenario based questions, while facing external clients. This is where it took time to schedule the next round, due to my travel plans as well as getting to fit everyone's schedule. Once this was set, the talent partner ensured that I was well prepared by explaining the expectations or what could I foresee in this round. 5th Round -> was a case-study presentation round, to a panel of people (who had interviewed me earlier) on a problem set that was provided to me 2 weeks prior to the actual date of presentation. The talent partner did multiple calls with me to clarify all my queries and was very open to ensuring that I had all necessary queries sorted out. This was a role-play round, where I as the PM from Adobe had to present to a panel of 2 people who were the clients (the other 2 panelists couldn't make it last minute). It was testing your Project Management skills working with the external clients in delivering bad news as well as how to move ahead as well as your presentation skills. Was asked various other questions basis my assumptions & recommendations on the case study and was given feedback / recommendations on what could've been done better. -> 6th round -> From this pt. onwards, the offer was presented as well as all the background Check & the admin process started. Again, at all stages & at different frequencies, I was kept informed by the talent partner on what was happening. Overall, had a great positive experience throughout the process with everyone. Especially loved the way how the Talent partner was so detailed, kept me informed on the expectations as well as providing me with the necessary platform to address my queries / provide relevant useful materials (especially for my 4th / 5th round). And this is exactly what I had heard from different candidates from different APAC locations (Korea, HK, Sydney, SG) on our first day during the virtual onboarding (due to the current covid situation) that the entire process was very well taken through and the Talent Partner team did a wonderful job!
