      Interview

Confusing and Unprofessional Interview Experience The interview process was disappointing due to inconsistent communication and mixed messaging. At the start of the interview, I was told the conversation would be informal and that there would be no interview questions. However, it quickly became a standard interview with competency based questioning. As the discussion progressed, the tone felt increasingly adversarial, with several questions appearing designed to put me on the defensive rather than explore my experience and suitability for the role. The interviewer was difficult to read throughout. While positive comments were made about my background and experience, the overall interaction felt disengaged and gave little indication of where I stood in the process. The most concerning aspect was being told that if I wasn’t successful, I should “read the room” because there might not necessarily be a response. Ironically, despite being told I would likely receive an update at the start of the following week, no update was provided and I ultimately had to chase for an outcome myself. Overall, the process lacked transparency, consistency, and professional communication. Candidates would benefit from clearer expectations, more constructive dialogue, and timely follow up Nick.
