I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Nov 2010
Interview
I was recruited by a sales manager who knew me from the past. After an initial phone interview I was brought in for one-on-one meetings with the divisional VP and a few others I knew from a previous job. The interview with the divisional VP consisted of him explaining the opportunity using as many buzz words as he could fit into a 30 minute meeting. It was obvious he was in over his head and desperate to find someone to help him look good to senior management.

Question 1
What would you do in the first 30 days on the job to drive revenue?
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner in May 2026
Interview
30 minute phone call with recruiter. Next is 1 hour with recruiter about your background, behavioral questions. Then 1 hour with LSA with questions on your background and a role play.
HR is very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. It can be a little confusing how they structure and and label their position but easily cleared up when talking in first rounds. They are professional and get back quickly. Overall a very positive experience.
