I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Phone screen followed by in person interview and followed up with several follow up interviews. Waited for NYC approval for head count and did case study. Then background check and more interviews given other competing offers. The interview was in San Francisco and was in 1-6 hour time periods. Many people will want to meet you and they are all nice. Good to send the thank you letters that they will all receive and share with each other. A good practice is perhaps sending the thank you in one vs. trying to write a separate one for each person.
