Non-sales company pretending to be one
24 May 2023 - SupervisorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pay is okay at this position. Benefits are okay. DEI initiatives.
Cons
Lack of communication. Lack of leadership knowledge their own roles. Lack of leadership knowledge on platforms and how they perform. Lack of empathy from leadership. Lack of upward movement unless you live in Nashville. Lack of transparency. Extremely high turnover. Lack of team culture. “Their way or the highway”. Jobs consistently threatened. Would rather sales minded then technical minded. (Many have not been hired due to this) You’re a number, not an employee. Extremely disorganized. “Bonus” structure changes monthly ensuring you’ll never receive the max amount. Even though it’s breadcrumbs compared to real jobs with real bonus structures.

Overworked and Grossly Underpaid
2 Jun 2023 - Customer Service in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Remote work and Asurion did supply equipment.
Cons
No time between calls, no work/life balance, poorly designed CSR tools, management refuses to correct issues and they refused to pay me for back wages until I lawfully quit and collected unemployment on their dime. I was hired approximately 3 months before they began selling their warranty program to customers during inbound phone insurance claim calls. However, during the hiring process I was advised by management and then my trainers that this was to be a NO sales position. Management wants you to sell their "warranty coverage" for customers' existing electronics more than they want you to actually handle their actual insurance claims or issues - and your job is on the line week-to-week (sometimes day-to-day) if you don't sell their customers something few want to even hear about, much less need.

Can be good... If your district is run properly.
13 Apr 2023 - Roving Technician in SydneyRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Repairs are fun aside from Samsung. Can be a fun job in the right situation. If you like selling insurance, you will like it here. I've heard good things about management in other markets.
Cons
This company doesn't pay more then $15/hr to new techs, so a lot of them leave before the three week training is done because they get a better offer. The people that stay get terminated for silly reasons and without any warnings. This leads to many stores only having one or two people and those people don't know much because of the constant revolving door of employees. This leads to a stressful work environment because you are pressured to sell the Asurion Home+, quickly turn around repairs, answer phones, and handle the front. Often you are alone at a store for a day and you can't get anything done. The upper management will not pay more for staffing because they are focused on profitability. What they don't realize is that it is impossible to be profitable with two team members at each store. If we can't provide great service to customers by providing quick turnarounds and good pricing, people will stop using us for repairs.

Sales rep not tech rep
28 Apr 2023 - Technical Support in SydneyRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Able to move shifts around Health/dental/vision not bad Offer ability to make more with required sales Coworkers are laid back Able to move to different positions unless on write ups Provide equipment Base pay $20 hourly
Cons
Have pay docked when write ups occur PPX pay model Forced to push sales on ever customer that is eligible before ever addressing their issue Constant micromanagement of metrics Unrealistic expectations for sales Unable to move position if in write up for not being a good fit for current position Good management is very hot and miss- they will laugh and be nice to you like they care as they are planning to reprimand/write up/terminate in the same conversation Offer only 2 total weeks to improve whatever metric you are behind on even if that is not a possibility Withhold paycheck until equipment is returned after termination They base the pay examples out of the top performing employees instead of the majority of the employees

Pros
Benefits were stellar and cheap at that time
Cons
Had to sale which wasn’t part of job description when job description was accepted though you were compensated extra if sale was made or it count against you if no sales were made and you didn’t meet your metrics

Great company to work for, until the sales approach got injected.

-Great benefits -Great treatment and opportunities. -Stability -Nationwide roles and opportunities.
Cons
-You get hired for a technical role, you excel on that role and then a sales part gets added, then everything else doesn't matter. -Sales part gets you burned out and demotivates you, not all people likes sales and you feel the pressure just to sale. -Until the sales part came into place, it was the best place I worked at. -They like to open new roles and put you in there and still pay you the same, in our case having In store and Messaging was good because we had the opportunity to work from home and even more during covid, but the messaging part is not about technical support anymore but just about sales, sales sales. It gets pretty frustrating.
