Pros

*Free passes * Depending on who you are, they will try to work with your schedule * Disney discounts

Cons

Working at Basin has been a frustrating and demoralizing experience. This company does not value its employees, and it shows in nearly every aspect of its operations. Despite raising prices on products consistently, there are no raises or any form of compensation adjustments for the hard work done by the employees. It's clear that profit comes first, and people come last. One of the most disheartening aspects of working here is that no matter how hard you work, it goes completely unnoticed by upper management. There is no recognition or reward for those who go above and beyond. Conversely, employees who put in minimal effort or barely contribute face no consequences either. Without any form of a reward or accountability system, employees are left feeling helpless. There’s no incentive to work hard because it makes no difference in how you're treated or compensated. The management team is also handcuffed. They are essentially puppets, unable to make decisions or lead their teams effectively because upper management micromanages every detail. This lack of autonomy leaves managers and their teams feeling powerless and disengaged. To make matters worse, there is no PTO, and the company refuses to hire additional or new management. As a result, current managers feel trapped, unable to take vacations because there's no one to step in, leaving their teams without any support or structure. This cycle of burnout and frustration spreads through the entire staff, leading to low morale and a sense of being stuck. If you're looking for a company that values its employees and fosters a healthy work environment, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. The work-life balance is non-existent, the compensation is stagnant, and the leadership style is oppressive. Without recognition, incentives, or room for growth, employees are left demotivated and disappointed.

Pros

- Disney Tickets and Discounts - Flexible Schedule - Holiday Pay - Relatively easy (if you have a brain)

Cons

Basin has unfortunately lost sight of what makes an engaging workplace and has put the focus on profit. In comparison to non-tipped Disney Springs stores, the pay here falls short. Raises are tied to promotions, with the role of shift manager as the highest realistic level, and even then, the hourly pay of a manager is lower than what entry-level positions elsewhere might offer. Despite price increases which result in products that are exorbitantly priced, raises are no where in sight, leaving employees wondering where the added revenue is going (Alaskan cruises perhaps?). The low wages contribute to high turnover, and for many, this job is a mere stepping stone to better-paying roles. In addition there is no incentive to do better than bare minimum. If you’re a hard worker, your reward is picking up the slack for your coworkers who don’t put in any effort; don’t expect upper management to notice-they don’t even know most of the employees names. Despite the upper management not knowing the store employees, they have final say on promotions and who to promote. There is little to no employee appreciation. The company’s idea of recognition is a $5 gift card for employee of the month- hardly an incentive for the amount of effort. To make matters worse, upper management remains disconnected from the day-to-day reality of their employees. Sales associates are nameless to the higher-ups, and are treated as interchangeable and disposable, further eroding any sense of loyalty or morale Store management is unable to make any lasting or meaningful changes due to being under a microscope by upper management. Upper management adamantly refuses to hire any outside store management, leaving the current management team stretched thin with no work life balance due to always having to work, and feeling guilty for being sick or taking a break. Without incentives to excel or feel valued, working here would have felt hollow if not for the former store management and my former fellow employees.

Pros

It’s a Disney springs and you get a self admission pass after a few months. A couple times a year they buy you lunch.

Cons

Youll never get a raise.
