Pros

Travel Interesting and rewarding work Worked and connected with amazing people

Cons

Poor communication among departments and from leaders Promotes an emphasis on DEI but very limited actions or teams exclusively dedicated to ensuring diversity is continuously a priority Lack of transparency from leadership at all levels Constantly wasting resources: wasted work and efforts, wasteful habits with travel assignments, not utilizing talent well, etc. Very reactive and not at all proactive with things that we can control or prepare for Promises growth and new opportunities for employees but rarely delivered upon Minimal structure or clarity on strategy Minimal respect and consideration for employees that are not in more senior positions

Pros

Competitive pay, decent healthcare, good amount of PTO, 401K match, remote benefits, no commute, growing opportunities, company prefers to grow from within first. Company is trying to learn and grow from previous layoff and the reason for layoff… Quality control has been restructured since layoff. Company is recovering from layoff and seems to be growing as a whole. Leadership is open to feedback and constructive criticism.

Cons

Experience depends on assigned studies and management. Management style varies across the board (some managers are demanding, some not so demanding, some communicative, some laid back, some supportive, some are lacking in support). Training from sponsor is useful but CA training could be more organized and more extensive with on board training. Most training are modules or pdfs to acknowledge. Culture is based on assigned manager and team, not toxic but not the best. Some coworkers are extremely supportive and will volunteer to help and some will wait to be told to help. Some coworkers are responsive and some are unresponsive. Work drama is mostly avoidable due to remote work. Some teams on site seem hectic and likely need to improve organization and communication. Work on site versus travel versus remote also varies drastically. Some staff need retraining or remediation to improve their work ethic, knowledge, and quality.

Pros

i didn't stick here for long and chose to leave within a short period. It was the best career move I ever made.

Cons

The managers were the worst aspect of working at Care Access. They were terrible leaders doing a poor job. The often messed up schedules, expected us to chase insane deadlines, and work brutally stressful hours. The inter-departmental communication was also horrible, which added to the chaos.

Purpose-Driven Company Making Real Impact

Pros

The company has a truly mission-driven culture. People genuinely care about improving health and wellbeing in real, tangible ways. I work alongside incredibly smart colleagues who are solving complex problems in a challenging industry that doesn’t always change quickly. This isn’t your typical workplace: things move fast, and success here requires adaptability, quick thinking, and a comfort with ambiguity. I enjoy working on a variety of projects and collaborating with people who are making a difference in their communities. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work we do can meaningfully change people’s lives.

Cons

Communication from leadership can sometimes be sporadic, with priorities shifting quickly. At times, work that feels urgent one day may be deprioritized the next. That said, the organization is growing rapidly and navigating complex challenges, so some of this fluidity is understandable. Being adaptable and comfortable with change is key to thriving here.

Pros

Health insurance, good benefits for when you travel (company card, meal stipend, hotels). High diversity.

Cons

Poor upper management and communication. CEO is clueless and maybe delusional. Extreme disorganization, complete lack of training for new employees, lack of support. Have to create really firm boundaries, otherwise they will want you working 24/7. Laid of 2/3 of their workforce in April, don't see them coming back.

Pros

The best reason for working there? It was a remote position. That's it. My team was also pretty cool but that was a bonus.

Cons

Do you love to be stressed? Do you love having leaders and managers who have no clue about what's going on due to the lack of communication between all the departments, lack of training, and high expectations from directors? Are you crazy about being laid off without any warning? So you are in the perfect place! The CEO is delusional, at first it seems like he is nice and cares about whoever works to help them achieve their extremely high expectations, but then he acts like nothing wrong is going on and it feels like they are living in Narnia. All they have in mind is money, so they will rush into projects to fill in the spots with participants for sites that have no idea what they are doing either, with people who haven't been trained or don't have any background in research - not generalizing, of course - there were good people working there but it would be an exception. I lost count of how many participants complained that they never got their compensation after the visit was completed, their next appointment was never scheduled, or even worse - the whole group of participants (recruited by the company) got kicked out from a huge study because of their numerous GCP violations. Long story short, stay away from this company.
