Pros

This company has an unsurpassed culture. Very inclusive and has a wonderful work-life balance. This is a workplace where your efforts and strengths are celebrated. Leadership has great direction and very approachable. Stryker hires those with drive to do the very best and work off of unique strengths and talents. With that being said, I believe the Stryker hiring process is a very sufficient method that results in certain criteria and mentality. Overall as an employee your contributions count and hard work does not go unnoticed. I am fulfilled in my position and am given ample opportunity for growth. From the top down, the typical Stryker employee is driven to deliver quality. My spouse and I both work for the company and love working here!

Cons

If you are not a learner by nature, I believe it would be difficult to work here. As a new employee you are not spoon fed information, you must seek out the opportunities to learn. This is not for everyone so if you don't have the "learner" trait or aren't proactive/self-starter, you may have difficulty adjusting.

Pros

Direct leader was amazing. Working together efficiently and effectively.

Cons

After dedicating 8 years to Stryker, I was extremely disappointed to learn upon separation that only 40 hours of my accrued PTO would be paid out, despite having accumulated approximately 240 hours. What is most frustrating is that this was never clearly communicated during discussions with HR regarding my departure. Had I known this policy earlier, I could have made different decisions about using my earned time off. Employees invest years of service and should have complete transparency regarding how accrued benefits are handled upon separation. I am sharing this so current employees can educate themselves on the PTO payout policy before making career decisions, as this was an unexpected and costly surprise for me.
