Pros

Opportunity to network, job security if you're not planning to move up, the name Stryke looks good on resumes (+) things about this role: 1) a sense of purpose: you make sure the equipment runs as smoothly in the operating room and troubleshoot + learning what goes into sterile processing. 2) the role gives you a chance to get an exposure to the medical devices industry, especially if you're planning to go into med sales (networking with sales reps, surgeons, nurses, etc)

Cons

Very difficult to climb up the ladder from Onsite, Even as an internal candidate you still have to go through 5-6 rounds of Gallup (-): Frat/sorority house MANAGEMENT mentality with terrible ethics who have no idea what they're doing and don't know how to lead. Internal mobility heavily based on popularity and looks rather than performance and experience. There is more to life than being a former D1 athlete...

Pros

I respect the company and what it does to help make drs lives easier with providing tools

Cons

Stryker was the worst place I ever worked. Upper management needs a lot of work. I watch the VP invite new employees in and treat them like a friend until a new person come in and then push the old one out. Never any security and you always have to watch your back. Sports Medicine could be great with a different management team.
