      - Terrible managers across all levels. - Many pockets of discriminative culture, felt very much encouraged. - A tech stack that is not particularly interesting to work it, most of the engineering leaders get defensive whenever newcomers question their design choices.

As you may be aware, in 2023, GoCardless implemented cost reduction plans to accelerate our path to profitability, which unfortunately resulted in a workforce reduction of approximately 15%. This was a difficult decision driven by the economic climate and a need to focus on core business areas. We are continuously reviewing our compensation structures to ensure they remain competitive and are committed to building a stable and growth-oriented future for GoCardless.

      Great benefits, salaries generally higher compared to market and flexibility to work from home or abroad. Pace is comfortable, you have time to work on your own projects and there’s no expectation to work overtime. People are smart and kind

      Cons

      Slow pace can be frustrating if you’re used to an agile environment. Product strategy and direction can be unclear and there are frequent reorgs. Career progression can be difficult

      Good people Great Salary and benefits But most importantly work is challenging and fast paced. Never bored and people are lovely to work with.
