April was Autism Awareness Month, and Clouderan Susana López Huertas, who shared her story of raising a son with autism and the work she is doing to promote an environment where autistic adults can thrive in the workforce.
I started working at Cloudera in 2017. I was an intern then and in the following 2.5 years. I became a full-time employee in July, 2020. That was almost 2 years ago and since then I’ve learnt so much about myself that helped me with my “work culture”. Also, I spoke with other software developers and I realized that these 5 things I’ve learnt and helped me to be who I am today can help anybody at any point of their career. Here are the 5 points:
Meet Lynne Montalbo, senior business systems analyst from Santa Clara, California, who exemplifies Cloudera’s culture of volunteering and giving by supporting Braven, a nonprofit organization, as a professional development mentor.
Happy to let the world know that Cloudera unveiled a newly expanded Center of Excellence in Bengaluru.🎉 The Center of Excellence will focus on delivering the hybrid data cloud and the company’s mission of making data and analytics easy and accessible for everyone. Oh, and we are hiring as well-the new office looks really cool (should you want to work at an office).🙂
Yesterday was #NationalPetDay and we at Cloudera take our pets/co-workers very seriously. Check out some of the cool pics in the Virtual Photo Boot that was created for this special day! (There are many more-could only fit in 1 set of pix...)
Geetha Murthy, Director of Engineering at the Cloudera Innovation Accelerator talks about her journey to Cloudera and how the team works. For example, hackathons have existed for some time and we continue to do these quarterly. We’re encouraged to work on our own innovative ideas but now, at Cloudera, it’s become a lot more fun because of the kind of support we receive. We’re not creating and innovating for the sake of creating, we have a larger purpose and mission at hand, a mission that is directly aligned to the larger organization. The chance to make a real and significant impact drives us all.
This is about when Cloudera came into my life in 2020 and I joined them to get an experience at the forefront of the game. I have loved every moment of being with this amazing organization. Here are my 9 reasons why Cloudera is the place to be!
Check out our Cloudera 2021 Year End Review blog, penned by Senior Product Manager Shaun Ahmadian: "As exciting 2021 has been as we delivered killer features for our customers, we are even more excited for what’s in store in 2022. In the coming year, we’re expanding capabilities significantly to help our customers do more with their data and deliver high quality production use-cases across their organization. Along with delivering the world’s first true hybrid data cloud, stay tuned for product announcements that will drive even more business value with innovative data ops and engineering capabilities." Happy New Year everyone!🥳
Sruthi Mohan, a Solutions Engineer at Cloudera, got her start as an accelerated student at NC State, having completed many credits before college. However, even with that, Sruthi still didn’t know which career direction she wanted to take. Sruthi began to figure out her passion through her first internship as a Data Analyst at Cisco, and when she was recruited to SAS after graduation, she discovered her love for Pre-Sales. Listen as Sruthi explains how this all came about, as well as how she got the opportunity to establish her career in Germany. You will hear all about her ongoing journey abroad, the concept of ‘Knowing what you want, and going for it,’
When thinking of the future of Cloudera it’s the product vision that excites Manoj most. “How we translate the vision to a roadmap and how the whole company is excited to make it a reality is what fuels me.” He left us with one last thought. “If you are interested in working on cutting edge technology – if you want to define what cutting edge technology means, and be valued for the work you deliver – Cloudera is the best place to work!”
