## About the Role
We are building next-generation industrial machines, intelligent IoT products, and embedded hardware systems. We are looking for a highly experienced **Lead Hardware & Industrial Automation Architect** to lead end-to-end product development—from concept and architecture to manufacturing and deployment.
This role goes far beyond PCB layout. We are seeking someone who can architect complete industrial systems by integrating electronics, industrial automation, embedded software, and mechanical components into reliable products ready for commercialization.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead complete hardware product architecture and system design.
* Design and review multilayer PCBs, controller boards, and embedded electronics.
* Develop industrial automation solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
* Architect machine control systems involving sensors, actuators, motors, drives, and industrial communication networks.
* Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure seamless electro-mechanical integration.
* Lead R&D activities for new products and solve complex engineering challenges.
* Develop and integrate embedded firmware and edge intelligence.
* Oversee prototype development, testing, validation, and production transition.
* Ensure compliance with signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and industrial safety requirements.
* Coordinate with software, manufacturing, procurement, and field deployment teams.
## Must-Have Skills
### Industrial Automation
* Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming.
* Experience with SCADA and HMI development.
* Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, relays, contactors, and industrial control panels.
* Understanding of industrial automation standards and practices.
### Hardware & Embedded Systems
* 5+ years of experience in hardware product development.
* High-speed PCB design and schematic development experience.
* Strong understanding of processors, microcontrollers, memory architecture, and complete system design.
* Experience with embedded firmware development.
### Mechanical & Product Integration
* Ability to work closely with mechanical engineers on machine architecture.
* Understanding of electro-mechanical systems and machine design principles.
* Experience integrating motors, sensors, pneumatics, and actuators into finished products.
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
### Technical Skills
* PCB Tools: KiCad, Altium Designer, Cadence (Allegro/OrCAD), Flux.
* Programming: C, C++, Python (C# is an advantage).
* Communication Protocols:
* SPI
* I2C
* UART
* CAN
* Modbus RTU/TCP
* RS-232/RS-485
* Ethernet/IP
* PCIe
* Hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience building industrial machines or automation equipment.
* Background in IoT and edge device development.
* Familiarity with RTOS and Embedded Linux.
* Exposure to FPGA-based systems.
* Experience in robotics, machine vision, or AI-enabled hardware.
* Knowledge of industrial certifications and compliance standards.
* Experience taking products from concept to mass manufacturing.
## Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an engineer who thinks like a product architect—not just a PCB designer. Someone who can visualize the entire machine, understand how electronics interact with mechanics and industrial automation, and lead multidisciplinary teams to transform ideas into commercially successful products.
