Job Description
1. Logistics Operations Support Assist in coordinating the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses/customers. Support shipment scheduling, load planning, and dispatch activities. Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams or customers. 2. Order & Delivery Processing Process sales or transfer orders in ERP/logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Ensure all shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) is complete and accurate. Follow up with carriers and freight providers for pickup, transit, and delivery confirmations. 3. Inventory Coordination Help monitor stock levels and update inventory movements in the system. Reconcile physical vs. system stock data as needed. Flag potential stockouts or overstock risks to supervisors or planners. 4. Transportation & Carrier Coordination Communicate with 3PLs (third-party logistics providers), freight forwarders, or courier services. Support booking of transportation for inbound and outbound shipments. Track carrier performance (e.g., on-time delivery, damage rates) and report exceptions. 5. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely logistics records, shipment data, and supporting documents. Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and internal shipping policies. Assist with export/import documentation if part of international logistics. 6. Customer & Stakeholder Support Respond to internal or customer queries related to shipments, delivery delays, or damages. Escalate issues to logistics coordinators or managers when needed. Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams. 7. System Updates & Reporting Update shipment, order, and delivery status in logistics or ERP systems. Assist in preparing daily/weekly reports on logistics performance (e.g., delivery status, lead times, exceptions). Support with data entry, validations, and error checking. 8. Process Improvement & Issue Resolution Identify process gaps or repetitive issues and suggest improvements. Participate in root cause analysis for logistics delays or errors. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics or supply chain function.Qualifications
