Training Manager – Life Skills, FLN & Employability Education
Location: Paderu Division, Alluri Sitharama Raju District, Andhra Pradesh
Position Summary
The Training Manager will lead capacity building, training quality, and institutionalization efforts for the school-to-work Pathways for Tribal Adolescents Project. The role will strengthen the capabilities of project staff, teachers, Master Trainers, and government stakeholders to effectively deliver Life Skills Education (LSE), Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), and Employability Education (EE), while ensuring quality implementation and sustainability within school and government systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Capacity Building
- Develop and execute project-wide training and capacity-building plans.
- Conduct induction, refresher, and advanced trainings for project staff, teachers, and Master Trainers.
- Lead Training of Trainers (ToT) programs and support cascade training models.
- Promote experiential and learner-centered training methodologies.
- Develop training modules, facilitator guides, job aids, digital resources, and assessment tools.
- Ensure content aligns with project goals and adolescent development needs.
3. Teacher Development & School Strengthening
- Build teacher competencies in facilitation, experiential learning, and adolescent-centered pedagogy.
- Support progression from observer to independent facilitator.
- Strengthen school leadership to sustain quality implementation.
4. Government Capacity Building
- Support training and orientation of education officials and key stakeholders.
- Strengthen government ownership through joint reviews, learning forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Contribute to system strengthening and sustainability efforts.
5. Quality Assurance & Coaching
- Establish facilitation standards and competency frameworks.
- Conduct field observations and provide coaching to staff and facilitators.
- Monitor implementation quality and address capacity gaps.
- Document best practices, innovations, and success stories.
6. Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with schools, communities, government departments, and project teams.
- Represent the organization in trainings, consultations, and review forums.
- Promote cross-learning and stakeholder collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Master’s degree in education, Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, Rural Development, STEM, or related fields.
- 5-7 years of experience in training, capacity building, teacher development, or education programs.
- Understand or delivered employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the intervention areas.
- Experience in at least two of the following:
- Life Skills Education
- FLN
- Employability Education
- Adolescent Development
- Teacher Training
- Strong expertise in adult learning, facilitation, and experiential education.
- Preferably worked in the Paderu area
- Proficiency in Telugu and English.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
