Role Overview

YS School is seeking a dedicated Academic Coordinator for Senior Classes, for Grades 6 to 12th, responsible for leading the academic, administrative, and student-support functions of these critical board classes. The coordinator will ensure strong academic delivery, structured planning, teacher accountability, and consistent student progress tracking aligned with school expectations and CBSE norms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership (Core)

• Plan and oversee the academic calendar, syllabus completion, and lesson planning
• Monitor subject-wise teaching quality, classroom delivery, assessments, and remedial planning.
• Conduct regular notebook checks, class observations, and academic audits.
• Ensure teachers follow structured pedagogy, CBSE guidelines, and assessment patterns.
• Drive exam readiness — periodic tests, revisions, doubt sessions, sample paper practice.

2. Student Progress & Performance Tracking

• Monitor academic performance of all students through data-driven tracking.
• Identify slow learners and coordinate remedial programs.
• Conduct student counselling sessions on study habits, discipline, attendance, and exam strategy.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding academic progress, behaviour, and support plans.

3. Teacher Coordination & Support

• Coordinate daily with subject teachers on planning, delivery, and execution.
• Ensure timely submission of lesson plans, question papers, checking, and academic documentation.
• Facilitate teacher development sessions focused on board-class teaching, assessments, and communication skills.

4. Administrative Responsibilities

• Manage timetables, substitutions, attendance, academic files, and exam schedules for these grades.
• Prepare monthly academic reports, student performance sheets, and classroom observation reports.
• Oversee discipline, uniform, behaviour norms, and examination protocols

5. Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct PTMs, parent counselling, and orientation sessions for board-class readiness.
• Coordinate with the Vice Principal and Principal on academic updates and improvement strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in teaching or academic coordination (CBSE experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment structure.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and data-management skills.
• Ability to handle student discipline, exam pressure, and parent interactions professionally.
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace / academic software.
