Pros

Rendall and Rittner is a company that provides massive opportunity for those that work hard for it. I joined with little experience in the property management sector and through hard work and support from R&R i have recently been promoted to a Property Manager.

Cons

The work load can be extremely demanding.

Pros

I've been a Property Manager at Rendall & Rittner for two years, and it's been a fantastic experience. The company provides great support, training, and opportunities for career growth. The team is professional, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality service. It’s a fast-paced environment, but hard work is recognized. A great place for anyone looking to thrive in property management!

Cons

None that i can think of.

Pros

Flexible working, salary and work colleagues. Training is good with many courses available, but workload pressures often mean training has to be completed in personal time rather than during work hours.

Cons

The management structure; some areas well-organized, others less so. The workload is often unmanageable, with too many systems and unrealistic targets (meaning many additional hours are required to achieve in the role. PIs, unrealistic, extensive box-ticking, and micro-management. The new customer experience system has mixed results. Clients appreciate My Place, but many dislike the call centre and prefer personal contact with the property manager. Health & Safety team are sometimes rigid and unhelpful, making it difficult to complete projects and training. There are far too many (over 13) systems and the latest customer experience system has not reduced the number of systems but simply added another.

Pros

1. Working from home - this is standard for all portfolio accountants. 2. The company looks towards the future by understands that there is no best accounting system and is working on developing a system in house.

Cons

1. The workload - Depending on which team you’re in, you may have 6 developments up to 20. This would be fine if the developments didn’t have outstanding debtors / creditors from 5+ years ago. It seems as if the directors don’t care so much about the debtors / creditors and more on the year end accounts. It isn’t uncommon to have to work weekends just to get issues sorted. 2. Property Managers - I have never been at a company that has had property managers this bad at accounts (or maths / IT in general). You are typically the go to for any number / IT issue for the property manager (which would be fine if you didn’t have a full workload) and the queries can be very minor that you’d think anyone can answer such as “help me understand a statement or convert this excel file to pdf”. I can only think that the property manager side is badly staffed with too many awful property managers in high positions of the company. 3.Clients / owners - Some of them that you work with are absolutely bitter, screaming at the smallest of issues and you wonder why the business doesn’t raise the fee or give up management of the development. 4. High turnover - very high turnover in certain teams leading to a negative attitude which doesn’t help since you’re working from home and you can’t really get to know other teams.

Could be great

Pros

Big company with experts to call upon if needed.

Cons

Working on site you are very cut off from the company, you have little to no access to company resources such as IT. Line Management is confusing with Property Managers running the development and Operations managers being your line manager and they often have very little property management experience. Shame as it could be great if they tried to make their site staff more

fast paced, demanding and intense

Pros

small team consisting of team manager, 2 senior property managers, 1 property manager and 3 assistant property managers daily check in good money working from home progression routes if you wish to move up really good benefits so much support ranging from immediate manager right up to CEO if needed very experienced staff who are willing to help

Cons

multiple confusing systems - coming from a workplace that used Qube, the countless systems can be overwhelming when you are thrown in at the deep end, plus more that are specific to the client and essentially duplicate the work demanding clients who expect a lot too many properties per portfolio meaning that the people who 'shout the loudest' are seen to first which means i can give enough time to the others no diary system so you need to be super organised to ensure nothing is forgotton/left 3 day response time high volume of emails daily meaning that working overtime (unpaid) is essential to be on top of work load
