The overall interview process took close to a month. Received a call from HR on the opening and two telephony rounds were scheduled the same week. One with the hiring manager and the second round with the Quality Manager. These were more about my current profile and the projects completed slightly touching on subject matter. Once I was through, I was called for 1-1 rounds at Bangalore on a Saturday. Candidates had to undergo 3 rounds of interviews each being an elimination round. These interviews were more focussed on problem solving skills and leadership qualities as many of the questions were scenario based. It was an harrowing experience which tested my limits of endurance as we were made to wait for long hours after each round before the HR person would call out a few and ask them to leave. Fortunately for me, Things worked out well and I managed to get thru the day.
One week later got a call that I have one more face to face Interview, this time in Chennai with a senior person. This was supposed to be the bar raiser round. The interview went very well and was a very good learning in terms of facing some of the most difficult questions that will test your attitude, management, innovation, thought process and problem solving abilities to the core.
Post this round, I had a telephonic conversation with the Quality head which was kind of an informal chat to know my background and willingness to relocate to Bangalore.
2 days later, I was informed that I got selected :). Overall, I felt that this was the best interview I ever attended.
