The Payroll, Compliance & Contract Labor management personnel will process the payroll of all the employees at the plant location and ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. He will also be responsible for preparing and submitting all the applicable labour law compliances in accordance with the Center/State Government Statute.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accuracy and timely processing of attendance, payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay at the time of the annual salary revision.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with central or state, with respect to the payment of wages or salaries.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to internal and external auditors.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Preparing all the monthly MIS related to Payroll & Statutory compliances.
Employee Life Cycle Management from onboarding to separation on DB.
End to end contract labour Management including onboarding of contractor and contractual manpower, processing of bills of the Contractor with all the applicable compliance.
Performs other duties/tasks as assigned by the HOD.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite / SAP/ Darwin Box.
Practical Knowledge of Statutory Compliances under all applicable Labour Laws.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree along with MBA in HR / IR.
5 to 10 Years of related experience required in large manufacturing set up preferably in Steel industry.
