I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (Hyderābād) in Sept 2014
Interview
It was an on campus interview with basic mathematics assessment, group discussions and 3 to 4 rounds of interviews.
First round was technical with programming in C
Second was a managerial round with memory allocation questions
Third was a puzzle solving round to check your thought process
Fourth was a hr round(Definite offer if you get here)
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services
Interview
Went through 3 rounds, one recruiter screen, one technical lead, and one managerial round. First round, the recruiter was late by 23 minutes. Second round, the technical lead was on time but took 15 minutes to set up the questions. The second round was more theoretical, as the questions were based on how you approach issues and how you think. I was also asked technical coding questions at the end. In the third round, the team manager was rude and tactless, cut me off multiple times, and didn't allow me to explain my thought process in response to his questions.
I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (San Jose, CA)
Interview
recruiter calls for an initial phone screen, a technical Interview with a manager, a final call with a leader, or gets an email with an offer. Knowing the basics of Java, SQL, and DB Concepts is enough.
It was good the interviewer was providing sufficient time to answer the questions. The interviewer asked basic questions on data structures, SQL, Python programming also some on the projects I had done before
