Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Initiative Leadership:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for manufacturing process excellence, digitization, and automation, aligned with overall business objectives and Industry 4.0 principles.
o Identify, prioritize, and lead high-impact projects that leverage digital tools (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, digital twins, advanced analytics) and automation technologies (e.g., robotics, AGVs, collaborative robots) to optimize manufacturing operations.
o Build business cases for new initiatives, including ROI analysis, resource planning, and risk assessment.
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
o Champion and embed Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other advanced continuous improvement methodologies across manufacturing sites.
o Conduct in-depth process analysis, value stream mapping, and bottleneck identification to uncover opportunities for efficiency gains and waste reduction.
o Lead Kaizen events, workshops, and cross-functional teams to drive process re-engineering and optimization efforts.
- Digitization & Automation Implementation:
o Evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., MES, MOM, PLM integration, predictive maintenance platforms).
o Drive the adoption of automation technologies, from concept to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
o Collaborate with IT, R&D, and external vendors to develop and deploy innovative digital and automation solutions.
o Establish metrics and monitoring systems to track the performance and impact of digitization and automation initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
o Work closely with manufacturing site leaders, engineering, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of initiatives.
o Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and key stakeholders effectively.
o Act as an internal consultant and subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on process excellence, digitization, and automation best practices.
Knowledge Management & Capability Building:
o Develop and deliver training programs to upskill manufacturing teams in new digital tools, automation technologies, and process improvement methodologies.
o Foster a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous learning across the manufacturing organization.
o Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in manufacturing, automation, and digitalization.
Technical Skills:
o Deep expertise in manufacturing processes and operations management.
o Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, digital manufacturing technologies (e.g., AI/ML in manufacturing, digital twins, AR/VR for operations, cloud manufacturing).
o Proficiency with MES/MOM systems, ERP (e.g., SAP), and data analytics tools.
o Understanding of automation hardware and software (e.g., PLCs, robotics programming, SCADA).
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Soft Skills:
o Exceptional leadership, influencing, and change management skills.
o Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- You are a Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Industrial Engineer (B.E. / B.Tech)
- You've 10-12 years’ experience in switchgear production industry, driving manufacturing initiatives.
- You’ve basic knowledge of commercial concepts of business and good working knowledge of MS Office.
- You’ve strong written and verbal communication skills.
