Responsibilities

As a Junior Engineer, you will work alongside experienced team members on real-world engineering and automation projects. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in developing, debugging, and maintaining software applications and automation workflows.
• Working with SQL, Python, and APIs to support data and business operations.
• Understanding and improving existing codebases with guidance from senior engineers.
• Troubleshooting issues and documenting findings clearly.
• Participating in team discussions, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Learning business workflows and how technology supports operational processes.
• Continuously learning new tools and technologies relevant to the team’s work.

Soft Skills (What matters most)

Technical skills can be taught, but these foundational behaviors are essential:

Technical Baselines

Don’t panic if you don’t recognize everything below. These are the core areas the team works on. Foundational knowledge or strong interest in one or more of these areas is a great starting point:

• Core Software Engineering:
  Object-oriented programming (OOP), clean code principles, source control (Git), and the patience to reverse-engineer legacy systems.
• Data Engineering & Business Intelligence:
  Strong SQL fundamentals, data modeling concepts, and Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
• AI & Cloud Fundamentals:
  API fundamentals (HTTP, REST, GET/POST methods), parsing JSON payloads, basic cloud infrastructure concepts, and practical AI utilization.
• ERP & Automation Ecosystem:
  Exposure to C# and the .NET framework, understanding of business process workflows (especially financial systems), document extraction/OCR concepts, and exception-handling workflows.

• Hands-on experience working on real-world projects in a collaborative environment.
• Direct mentorship and guidance from senior Engineers.
• Exposure to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
