We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead large-scale engineering initiatives, drive technical strategy, and oversee high-performing teams. What You'll Do:
- Define and drive engineering strategy and technical vision
- Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams
- Design and oversee development of scalable and robust software systems
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines
- Drive DevOps adoption including CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment
- Ensure implementation of security and compliance best practices
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and business teams
- Establish engineering KPIs, track performance, and drive continuous improvement
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and project delivery timelines
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies including AI and modern frameworks
- Lead organizational change and technology transformation initiatives
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Strong leadership experience managing large engineering teams and complex programs
- Deep technical expertise across architecture, development, and infrastructure
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with leadership roles at scale
- Strong expertise in system design, architecture, and scalable distributed systems
- Proficiency in programming languages and modern frameworks across tech stacks
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory practices
- Proven experience in team management, stakeholder communication, and influence
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in change management and organizational transformation
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and engineering performance metrics
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across product, business, and operations
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
