Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Server Engineer to lead the design, implementation, migration, and support of enterprise server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure across customer environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in server hardware platforms, enterprise storage arrays, VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Windows Server, Linux, Veeam Backup & Replication, Acronis Cyber Protect, and disaster recovery solutions.

The role involves customer-facing project implementation, infrastructure assessments, solution deployment, technical leadership, documentation, and post-implementation support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Presales, Delivery, and Support teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise server infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Perform server hardware installation, firmware upgrades, BIOS configuration, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Rack, cable, configure, and validate enterprise server hardware including Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, and similar platforms.
• Configure server components such as RAID controllers, HBAs, NICs, iLO/iDRAC/XClarity, firmware baselines, and hardware monitoring tools.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows services.

VMware Infrastructure

• Install and configure VMware ESXi and vCenter Server.
• Design and manage VMware clusters including:
• HA
• DRS
• vMotion
• Storage vMotion
• Distributed Switches
• Perform VMware upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and health checks.
• Troubleshoot VMware performance and availability issues.

Nutanix Infrastructure

• Deploy and administer Nutanix AHV clusters.
• Configure Prism Element and Prism Central.
• Manage storage containers, networking, data resiliency, and lifecycle management.
• Perform Nutanix upgrades and cluster expansion.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Deploy and administer Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Configure backup jobs, replication, SureBackup, backup repositories, immutable storage, and disaster recovery.
• Deploy and manage Acronis Cyber Protect.
• Conduct backup verification, restore testing, and DR drills.

Storage & Server Hardware Infrastructure

• Configure SAN and NAS storage solutions.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise storage systems including Dell EMC, HPE MSA, HPE Alletra/Nimble, Lenovo, NetApp, Synology, and similar platforms.
• Perform RAID configuration and storage provisioning.
• Configure Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity.
• Configure Fibre Channel zoning, multipathing, host groups, storage pools, volumes, snapshots, and replication where applicable.
• Create and present LUNs to VMware and Nutanix environments.
• Perform storage migrations and capacity planning.
• Perform hardware health checks, warranty coordination, part replacement support, and vendor escalation for server and storage incidents.

Project Delivery

• Lead infrastructure deployment and migration projects.
• Execute VMware and Nutanix implementation projects.
• Perform datacenter migrations and virtualization upgrades.
• Coordinate implementation activities with customers, vendors, and OEMs.
• Ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.

Technical Support

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure support.
• Troubleshoot virtualization, server, storage, networking, and backup issues.
• Coordinate with VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Veeam, and Acronis support teams.

Leadership

• Review technical designs and implementation plans.
• Support Presales with solution validation and technical recommendations.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical workshops.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Enterprise Server & Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong expertise in:
• VMware vSphere
• VMware ESXi
• VMware vCenter
• Nutanix AHV
• Windows Server
• Linux Administration
• Experience with:
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Acronis Cyber Protect
• Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware including Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, RAID controllers, HBAs, NIC teaming, firmware updates, and hardware management tools.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage arrays, SAN/NAS administration, storage provisioning, host connectivity, snapshots, replication, and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, RAID, SAN, and NAS.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer communication and project management skills.
• Experience preparing technical documentation and implementation reports.
