Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer (Analytics/Reporting Developer) to design, build, and maintain our enterprise reporting infrastructure. You will write precise, performant SQL, engineer robust data pipelines, model data in Snowflake and PostgreSQL, and leverage GraphQL APIs to integrate and expose data across our reporting layer. This is a deeply technical role focused on data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and scalable architecture.

About the role

• Write complex, optimized SQL queries against PostgreSQL and Snowflake to power scheduled and on-demand reports
• Build and consume GraphQL APIs to integrate data from multiple sources into the reporting layer
• Develop and manage stored procedures, views, and materialized views to support scalable reporting layers
• Collaborate with data engineers to define data models and ensure reporting tables are structured for performance and accuracy
• Own report quality and reliability - implement validation logic, data checks, and version control on all reporting assets
• Maintain a report catalogue and keep documentation current and accessible to end users
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies in a timely and transparent manner
• Identify opportunities to consolidate, automate, or deprecate legacy reports and reduce duplication

• 3-5 years of experience in a reporting or data developer role with a strong SQL focus
• Strong SQL skills - comfortable with window functions, CTEs, query plans, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL - including schema design, indexing strategies, and stored procedures
• Working experience with Snowflake - including warehouse configuration and query optimization
• Experience with GraphQL - writing queries, mutations, and integrating GraphQL APIs as data sources within reporting pipelines
• Solid understanding of data modelling principles - star schema, normalization, and slowly changing dimensions
• Clear written communication - able to document technical solutions and data issues effectively for internal teams

Good to have

• Familiarity with Python for automating report delivery, scheduling, or data validation
• Experience building or maintaining GraphQL schemas and resolvers on the server side
• Familiarity with REST APIs for data ingestion and integration within reporting pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance, access control, and row-level security within reporting databases
• Experience migrating reports from legacy SQL systems to modern cloud data platforms
