About GoZupees
GoZupees is an AI-native software company building AI voice agents (VersaTalk) and AI operations platforms that our clients own outright as capital assets — not rent as SaaS — with on-prem and data-sovereign deployment options.
We deliver into telecoms, ISPs, legal services, and DTC/e-commerce across the UK, US, and India. Our systems are live in the real world: a US fiber ISP running six voice agents in production, a UK student ISP, a UK telecom channel via our Prodapt partnership, and US DTC brands. We're a remote-first team that moves fast — and we're bringing delivery in-house to scale it.
About the Role
We're hiring Software Engineers to build and ship production-grade AI voice systems and own them all the way through to live client deployments.
This isn't a prototype-and-walk-away role. We need engineers who write code that survives contact with real client traffic, real telephony, and real on-prem constraints — and who stay with what they build after it goes live. You'll work across the stack on conversation orchestration, LLM prompting and tool use, telephony/ASR/TTS integration, and the deployment of systems clients run themselves.
You'll report to the Founder & CEO (with a dotted line to a technical/delivery lead as the team grows). At this stage engineers are generalists who wear multiple hats within delivery — if you like ambiguity, ownership, and shipping things that matter, you'll thrive here.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship AI voice-agent features across the stack: conversation orchestration, LLM prompting/tool use, and the surrounding services
- Integrate telephony, speech-to-text (ASR), and text-to-speech (TTS); tune for real-time latency, reliability, and graceful failure
- Build integrations between our platform and client systems (CRMs, ticketing, telephony, webhooks)
- Package and deploy client-owned solutions across cloud and on-prem/data-sovereign environments
- Own code quality end to end: testing, observability, error handling, and maintainability of what you ship
- Work with the delivery/solutioning side to turn client requirements into working software, and support and debug live deployments
- Contribute to our internal platform and the AI-assisted tooling used across the company
Your First 90 Days
- 30 days: Dev environment set up; first small production changes shipped; you understand the voice-agent architecture end to end and at least one live client deployment
- 60 days: You own a feature or integration end to end and ship it to staging or a client; you're actively reviewing others' code
- 90 days: You're independently delivering scoped features and integrations, trusted with a live client deployment, and improving quality, testing, and tooling as you go
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years building and shipping production software used by real users (not just prototypes, coursework, or tutorial projects)
- Strong in at least one of Python or TypeScript/Node; comfortable full-stack or backend-heavy
- Has integrated third-party APIs (and ideally LLMs) into real products and made them reliable
- Can reason about latency, error handling, and reliability in live, user-facing systems
- Writes tested, readable, maintainable code with good git/PR discipline
- Strong English communication — can explain technical tradeoffs to non-engineers (delivery, clients)
- Self-directed — can take a loosely-specced problem and ship a working answer
Strongly Preferred
- LLM application experience: RAG, function/tool calling, prompt engineering, evals
- Voice/telephony (Twilio, LiveKit, SIP) and/or ASR/TTS (Deepgram, Whisper, ElevenLabs, or similar)
- Cloud + containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code
- On-prem/self-hosted deployment experience (directly relevant to our client-owned model)
- Startup / early-stage experience; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed salary: ₹12–28 LPA, by seniority and skills (AI/voice specialists and senior profiles sit toward the top of the band)
- ESOPs / stock options — you help build systems clients own, and you get a stake in what we build
- Remote-first role with real ownership, direct access to founders, and live production systems from day one
Working Hours & Location
- Location: Remote (India)
- Hours: Core daily overlap with UK business hours (core hours from ~1:00 PM IST) for standups and delivery syncs, with occasional flexibility for live UK/US client deployment windows
