As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will develop solutions in specific domains such as Security, Systems, Databases, Networking Solutions, and more. You will be a leader – contributing knowledge, guidance, technical expertise, and team leadership skills. Your leadership will be demonstrated in your work, to your customers, and within your teams.

Driving the design, development, integration, delivery, and evolution of highly scalable distributed software you will integrate with other layers and offerings. You will provide deeper functionality and solutions to address customer needs. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams to get high-quality products and features through the agile software development lifecycle.

We are seeking a seasoned System Architect with deep expertise in enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M and IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scheduling architectures that support complex batch processing environments across hybrid infrastructures.

• Design scalable and resilient scheduling architectures using Control-M , TWS , or similar tools

• Define system components and integration points based on cost-benefit analysis and user requirements

• Partition large systems into manageable subsystems for efficient scheduling and monitoring

• Lead deployment and configuration across mainframe , distributed , and cloud environments

• Integrate scheduling platforms with enterprise applications, databases, and monitoring tools

• Develop and maintain job flows , calendars , dependencies , and recovery procedures

• Analyze batch performance and optimize job scheduling to reduce latency and improve throughput

• Maintain scheduling environments, including patching , upgrades , and disaster recovery planning

• Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements

• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders

• Provide Level 2/3 support and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations

• Document architecture, job flows, and operational procedures
  

Your continuous grooming of features/user stories to estimate, identify technical risks/dependencies and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders will ensure the features are delivered with the right quality and within timeline. You will maintain and drive the clearing of technical debt, vulnerabilities, and currency of the 3rd party components within the product.

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will also coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available, secure, distributed software in a scalable architecture. Who You Are

Job Description:

The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated workflows for infrastructure and application deployments. This role focuses on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipeline development, and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and VMware vRealize Automation (VRA) to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Development:
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Integrate automation scripts and playbooks into pipeline stages (build, test, deploy).
• Infrastructure Automation:
  • Develop and manage Terraform configurations for multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMware).
  • Create reusable Terraform modules and manage state files securely.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of servers, networks, and middleware components.
• Configuration Management & Middleware Automation:
  • Write and maintain Ansible playbooks for system configuration and patching.
  • Implement automatic patching of middleware products to ensure compliance and security.
  • Enable automatic SSL certificate renewals across environments.
• Self-Service Capabilities:
  • Build self-service portals for users to set up new file transfer flows and other middleware onboarding tasks.
  • Integrate automation with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for end-to-end orchestration.
• Orchestration & Integration:
  • Implement workflows in VRA for automated provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Compliance & Security:
  • Ensure automation processes adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
  Implement automated testing frameworks and quality gates within pipelines.
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and VRA.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of automatic SSL certificate renewals, middleware patching automation, and self-service automation.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware).
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code principles and DevOps practices.
