Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 6+ years of experience in test automation and software quality engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites.
Create and execute automated tests for UI, API, database, and integration testing.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
Participate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback.
Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated automation pipelines.
Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
Ensure high test coverage, reliability, and performance of applications.
Implement best practices for test automation, code quality, and continuous testing.
Monitor test execution results and generate quality metrics and reports.
Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers and promote quality engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or WebDriverIO.
Experience in API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Experience with SQL and database validation.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with test reporting and monitoring tools such as Allure, Extent Reports, Grafana, or ELK.
