About the Team
The Product Discovery organization powers the omnichannel product discovery experience for Lowe's customers by delivering fast, relevant, and personalized search experiences across web, mobile, and in-store channels. The Search ecosystem comprises enterprise search platforms, search services, business applications, data ingestion pipelines, AI-enabled capabilities, and retail merchandising solutions that collectively enhance customer experience and drive business outcomes.

As part of the Search ecosystem, you'll work on building scalable applications and services that support product discovery, search operations, merchandising, and retail innovation. The team collaborates closely with Product, Merchandising, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams across India and the US to develop modern, cloud-native solutions that power millions of customer interactions while continuously improving platform capabilities, operational efficiency, and engineering excellence.

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to build innovative solutions that power Lowe's Search ecosystem and enhance the omnichannel retail experience. This role involves developing scalable full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, and business tooling that enable product discovery, search operations, and merchandising capabilities across Lowe's digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience in Java and/or Python, exposure to modern front-end technologies, and a passion for building high-quality software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions while contributing to search technologies, retail business capabilities, and cloud-native applications.

The candidate should be comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and overall software delivery while applying sound engineering judgment and best practices.
